Five new polytechnics to come up in Himachal

Dharamsala (April 14): To improve the structure of technical education in the state, Rs 41 crore would be invested in this financial year and five new polytechnics will be established in Paonta Sahib, Bilaspur, Kullu, Udaipur in Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur district.

IPH minister Ravinder Ravi said this during the inauguration of an ITI at Thural constituency near Palampur. He said that with a view to curb unemployment and to provide education within the state, government has commenced 13 engineering colleges, 7 pharmacy and 19 polytechnics in private sector and one government polytechnic was established in Talwara. He further urged the youth, not to waste their precious time running after government jobs and rather set their own profession by getting technically educated.
