Shimla (Mar 28): Himachal Pradesh Assembly condoled the demise of former minister Raj Krishan Gaur who died on March 18, 2011, while he was being admitted at PGI Chandigarh.
As the House sat for session after nine days of break this morning, Chief Minister expressed grief over the demise of Mr Gaur who was 79 years old. Dhumal said that Mr Gaur was member of the House in 1985, 1994 and 2003 and also remained minister twice in the Congress governments of the state. He called him a true Gandhian and a man of integrity.
Assembly Speaker Tulsi Ram, Opposition leader Vidya Stokes, Congress leader Kaul Singh (Darang) and BJP leader Khimi Ram (Banjar) and Gobind Thakur (BJP-Kullu) also condoled the death of Mr Gaur. Later the House also observed silence in honour of the departed soul.
