Shimla: Himachal Pradesh University will conduct an objective type (MCQ) combined Pre-Medical Entrance Test (HP-CPMET-2011) for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in government medical/dental colleges including private un-aided dental colleges ( state/management quota seats) in Himachal Pradesh on 27th May, 2011 at Shimla, Mandi, Dharamshala & Hamirpur centers, Registrar-cum-Controller of Examinations disclosed this here-today.
He said that for this test candidate should have already completed or should complete the age of 17 years and must not have completed 25 years of age on 31st December,2011. He/she should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examinations of a University/Board by law in India with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects, which shall include a practical test with 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC) provided that the candidate have qualified the subject of English as an elective subject in the above examination.
He further said that the application form/prospectus can be obtained at the University exam inquiry-cum-sale counter from 1.04.2011 to 30.04.2011 during working days on cash payment of Rs.1150/- for general categories and Rs.650/- for S.C./S.T. categories candidates. The request for supply of prospectus by post can only he addressed to the Deputy Registrar (Entrance Tests), HP University, Summer Hill, Shimla-5 accompanied by crossed IPOs/bank draft drawn in favour of Finance Officer, HP University, Shimla, amounting to Rs.1200/- in case of general Categories and Rs.700/- for S.C./S.T. categories. The application forms in the office of Deputy Registrar (Entrance Tests) H.P. University, Shimla will be received up to 30th April, 2011, he added.
