Shimla: HPCA is organising  trials  for the selection of players in the age group of 11-16 years at Indra Stadium, Una, on the 1st and 2nd April, 2011 at 9 am. Selected players would be trained under the guidance of experts and coaches at its residential academy in Una . Total of 35 players would be selected according to their performance in these trials.

Selected players will not have to spend anything on the above training, as all the expenses would be borne by the association. They would also have to undergo a rigorous regimen and they would be bred in a modern training where they will learn the nuances of the game, making them capable of performing at the highest level. “Our main aim for conducting these selection/trails is to identify talent at an early age and then give them all necessary help and facilities, so that one day they may be able to represent the country at the highest level” said President HPCA Anurag Thakur.
