Shimla (Mar 21): A moderate-intensity earthquake hit parts of Himachal Pradesh this afternoon even as there are no reports of any loss of life or property. Tremours were felt in Kangra and Chamba districts. Indian Meteorological Department’s Shimla director Manmohan Singh said that the earthquake hit parts of Himachal Pradesh at 3.19 pm, measuring 5,7 on the Richtor scale. Its epicentre was at latitude 36.5° North and longitude 70.9° East in the Hindukush region of Afghanistan.
