  1. The final congress list released does not find the name of deputy speaker Dharm Pal Thakur from Arki, OP Rattan from Una in it.

Instead of Thakur the candidate is Prakash Chand Karad and in place of OP Rattan it is Virender Gautum as per the list released by party spokesman Kuldeep Rathore, today

  2. There is a certain charisma to Anurag Thakur's personality and above all he is a young candidate. Congress to its true tradition is still fielding the aged and this will ultimately prove fatal to Congress. Congress has very little bench strength in terms of young leaders and have hardly any recall value outside their constituency.

On the other hand BJP seems to has changed with time and has young team unlike Congress which still has 70 plus year old "young leaders" running the party. Youth is a big electorate and they need to connect with the leaders.

Another factor going against the Congress is this election is being held in the "honeymoon" period of the new BJP Govt. Hamirpur has in the past always given tough time to Congress. Had Congress also fielded any young leader this would have made the contest interesting.

Congress is on a sticky wicket and this contest seems like a cricket match between Australia and the Bangladesh.

  3. I think now day by day position is changing like the match between Bngldesh V/S Ausis of world cup where ausis got defeat by bangla which is looking same as the case of Anurag v/s OP Rattan.

Now no agenda is left behind with BJP which is looking on the defence side or on the backfoot as the election day is coming near and near with the emergence of star compaigner Raja Virbhadra Singh. Now there is only need of one goooglyyy which will struck the wicket of the BJP on the election day.
