Shimla: Devastating fire broke out in a three-storey building, belonging to two families of Shwal village near Kotkahi. The building turned into ashes, causing a loss of Rs 75 lakh, Police sources said.
Fire broke out at 4:00 AM, burning down the entire house. The cattle in the ground floor were also burnt to death. However, the cause of fire is still not known. Meanwhile, there are doubts that fire could have been flamed from the fire place. The house reportedly belonged to Laik Ram and Sandeep. The spot was unapproachable form the link road and flames could not be controlled. The administration has registered the case and disbursed the assistance to affected family as per fire manual.
