Himachal police seize narcotics worth Rs 5 million

Shimla (Mar 3): Himachal Pradesh police today claimed that they have seized narcotics worth Rs 5 million after nabbing two persons while they got intercepted during a special ‘naka’ set at Gagret area of Una district in the intervening night of March 2 and 3.

While talking to HimVani, SP Una Santosh Patyal said that on a tip-off, a police party set a ‘naka’ at Gagret and intercept a Sakoda car and police recovered 485 grams of mixture of heroin and cocaine. He said the seized substance was estimated to be worth Rs 50 lakh in the international market.

He said that after the interrogation of nabbed driver, his other accomplice Mainer Pal was also apprehended while third, identified as Papinder Singh alias Pinda was still at large, All three belong to Gegret area of Una district.
