Chamba (Mar 3): 39 people were killed in two separate accidents that occurred in Chamba district overnight police source said.
A truck (tipper) carrying a marriage party fell down from Thalla bridge on the Sherpur-Nagali road, 60 km from here, killing all 32 people sitting in it. The accident occurred between 2 am and 3 am early this morning when the truck was crossing over the bridge. Reports said no one could survive the mishap.
In another mishap, a jeep carrying seven persons fell at Belore near Bharmour at 9.30 pm last night. Seven bodies were recovered from the spot.
