Court extends remand of seven held in Monastery cash recovery case

Una: Local court today extended judicial custody of seven persons including 17th Karmapa Orgyen Trinely Dorje’s close aide, allegedly involved in unaccounted foreign currency and hawala money haul recovered from Gyoto Tantric Monastery.

The trail court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Una Rajesh Tomar today granted 14 days Judicial remand to seven persons who have been sent into judicial custody after rejecting their bail application on Feb 8, 2011. The court has fixed next date of hearing into this case by March 9, 2011.
