Nahan: Himachal Pradesh Police today indicated that it is working on the modalities to seek assistance from Interpol to arrest ISI agent who was active and was linked for spying of cantonment areas in Himachal Pradesh and other North Western states of India.
While interacting with media persons at Nahan today, state Director General of Police Daljeet Singh Minhas said that Pakistani ISI agent involved in the spying of major cantonment areas and army installations in the North West Indian stations would be tracked to get his custody after seeking assistance from Interpol. He said that state CID foiled a spying cum hawala racket recently.
Including retired Indian Armed Personals three men acting as handlers of ISI for last six months, sharing strategic and key Indian intelligence information with ISI agent are behind the bars, but the top ISI functionary possibly operating from foreign land is still out of state police control. Retd. Subedar Bhagwan Das, Honorary Captain Ganshyam Singh Guleria and Hawala agent Amarjeet Singh have been arrested from Dehra of Kangra, Chandimandir of Chandiagarh and Sundernagar of Mandi district respectively recently by state police after filing case under various section of Office Secrets Act.
