Shimla: A three story building inhabited by four families at Yongpai gram panchayat of Bhava valley in Kinnuar was gutted by a devastating fire, which broke out in the intervening night of Feb 14 & 15, police sources said here today. The fire has rendered dozen of family members homeless in this biting cold.
The fire has caused the estimated loss of Rs 33 lakh, while fire tender could not reach the spot, as the area was away from its control range and unattached to road link. Tehsildar Shiv Lal visited the affected area and disbursed immediate relief from district administration by handing over five blanket each, rations for six moths and monetary relief of Rs 5000 to every family as per fire manual.
