Nahan: While addressing media persons today, State Director General of Police (DGP) D.S. Minhas stated that 24 new police stations would be set up in the state after lifting of the ban imposed by union government from March 31 this year.
He also stated that this would be done phase wise and Kala-Amb police post barrier in Sirmour district would be upgraded in first phase. He claimed that state police were very serious to implement traffic rules to reduce accidents in the state thereby curtailing the casualties. Seeking public coordination with the police force, he urged the people to treat police persons as their friend and force in return must maintain their moral duty by giving effective response during any eventuality. While asking the public to not be terrorised from police, he said that police officials are being trained with refresher course once in two years to make them aware with latest rules and law.
