Shimla (Feb 15): Due to prevailing inclement weather, all flights schedule to land in the three airports in Himachal Pradesh today stand cancelled.
Jubberhati-based manager of Kingfisher Airlines told HimVani over phone that three flights were schedule to arrive at Shimla, Kullu and Dharamsala, but they have been cancelled due to continuous rainfall. All departure flights also stand cancelled.
The Indian Airlines flight to Kullu also did not operate due to rough weather; however, both airlines had successfully operated flights on Monday after remaining cancelled on Sunday.
District information officer for Lahaul-Spiti Sher Singh also informed that three tribal chopper flights schedule for Bhuntar to Stingri, Sisu and Udaipur have also been suspend due to continuous snowfall in the tribal district since early morning.
Road traffic, power supply and telecommunication have been partly affected in the state due to rough weather conditions for last four days as heavy rain and snowfall occurred at several places.

Following continuous snowfall in the high reaches of Kullu and Lahalu-Spiti district, the Snow and Avalanches Study Establishment, Manali, has warned of avalanches in the upper areas of the two districts.
According to Officials at SASE Manali, Solang-nalah recorded 133 cm thick layer of snow, which was much more in the high reaches like Rohtang Pass and Koksar creating threat of avalanches at Mardi, Solang-nalah and Ranibagh, etc. Tourists resorts Manali recorded 12 cm snowfall in the town. Meanwhile, reports from Keylong said that 23 cm fresh snow was experienced in the town.
