Shimla: Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal presided over the last public grievances redressal programme ‘Prashasan Janta Ke Dwar’ of his two day Chamba visit, which was held in the interior area of Banikhet assembly segment at Bhalei in district Chamba today.
150 applications were registered by the applicants who also came from Tissa and Salooni border areas of the state to get their problems redressed. Majority of such applications consisted of members of minority community and majority of applications pertained to PWD, Revenue, IPH, Social Welfare, Health, Education etc, which was handed over to concerned authorities with appropriate directions to redress their grievances on priority.Chief Minister said that he had directed authorities at different levels to accord high priority to the public grievances and provide them relief within limited time frame. He said that he had himself been making it a point to devote maximum time to listen to public grievances in person to know their genuine problems. He said that a grievances cell had also been set up in the Chief Minister’s office where senior officer monitors the complaints received from any part of the country, while special attention was being paid towards the complaints received from people of the state.
