Dehra: Satluj Jal Vidhuta Nigam Limited’s Rs 495 Crore Dhaulasidh Hydroelectric Project is likely to be commissioned by 2015, as the project report of plant is under consideration of union government after getting pre-environment clearance from Union Ministry of Environment and Forest in May 20th, 2010.
Project Deputy General Manager( Construction) of SJVNL Sushil Sagar Sharma while exhibiting SJVNL’s power projects in three day Bharat Nirman Public Information Campaign said that 66 mega watts project was coming up on the bank of Beas rever at Dhaulasidh area of Hamirpur district in Himachal Pradesh. He said that Dhaulasidha project is being design to build up as a tow project(common cite of dam and power house) having Dam height of 70.75 meter and Dam length of 195 meter.
He added that this is fourth big project by the SJVNL in Himachal, as it had 1500 mw (commissioned) Nathpa-Jakhari, 412 mw Rampur project ( under construction), and Luhri 775 mw project. He said that SJVNL would float the global tender on this project after getting approval to its project report submitted to union government recently. Terming the project environment friendly, he said that power project would not displace anyone however it partly affects 41 households who are being already compensated by the company.
