Sharda Mathth to open Himachal Chapter

Shimla: Renowned religious leader Shankaracharya would be visiting Shimla, in March, next year, to open the Himachal Chapter of Sharda Mathth, the Mathth’s Secretary, Kushal Raj, said here.

He said that the Mathth would initiate the propagation of Indian values and culture in the state. Meanwhile, it will also help teach Sanskrit and Vedic literature.

Earlier, a delegation of Ashram Sabha, lead by Uma Dutt Bhardwaj had met the Shankaracharya at his residence in Delhi and had urged the religious leader to visit Himachal. The leader accepted the invitation.

The officials of the Sharda Mathth have approached the state’s Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and urged him to extend a state invitation to Shankaracharya.
