Fresh snowfall and thundershowers lash Himachal



Shimla: Fresh inclement weather conditions prevailing in Himachal Pradesh for last two days brought widespread thundershowers and snowfall on high reaches.

The widespread rain along with thundershowers and light speed wind paralysed normal life, as air flights to Kullu, Dharamshala and Shimla remained suspended. Keylong in Lahaul Spiti had 27 cm snowfall, Kalpa in Kinnuar 16 cm and there are reports of snowfall from Bharmour and Pangi subdivision of Chamba too.

High reaches of tourits town Manal also received moderate to heavy snowfall. Tourist destination Manali recorded 36 mm rain, Saloni in Chamba 33 mm, Seobagh in Kullu & Tissa in Chamba 17 mm each , Nadaun in Hamirpur, Bhuntar of Kullu, Palampur of Kangra, Ghamroor & Bangana in Bilaspur 7mm each. The met office has warned heavy snow or rainfall at isolated places in next 24 hrs in the state.
