33 more towns to be brought under TCP dept in Himachal

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh government is planning to bring 33 more towns under the Town and Country Planning Department to control haphazard construction in the state. At present, 24 towns have been brought under the department. Under the new rules, electricity and water connection would only be given after getting the required permission of the Town and Country Planning Department. All new buildings would now be required to have provision for rain-water harvesting. All commercial buildings would be required to have 25% area reserved for parking, while green cover would also be mandatory in all such buildings.

  1. There is a need to bring the entire state under TCP Act . Cluster formation is not only in case of Urban but is more dangerious in Rural areas . This will witness the DECREASE IN NUMBER of court cases as well .
