Eco-tourism project to come up near Barog

Shimla: The first privately operated eco-tourism project in Himachal Pradesh would come up at Cheba village near Barog in Solan district. Sources in the forest department confirmed that permission has been granted for the project. Six more proposals have been received by the department to set up eco-tourism circuits in Kullu, Mandi, Kangra and Shimla districts.
The developer would put up tents in the forest for providing accommodation to visitors, and will also provide related facilities. Visitors would be allowed to be taken for nature walks, but care would be taken that they do not damage flora and fauna in the jungle in any way.
