Himachal govt to fill 1,812 posts in different depts

Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh cabinet in its meeting held on Thursday approved granted sanction for creation and filling up of 1,812 posts of different categories, which included 982 posts in Education Department and 669 posts in Health and Family Welfare Department. The government also approved relief package to farmers and enhanced subsidy from existing 10% to 50% on premium under group insurance for this Rabi season to be effective from August onwards. The package will be available on wheat, barley, maize, paddy and potato crops.
The government sanctioned well equipped ambulances (trauma vans) with supporting staff at Solan, Mandi, Tanda, Hamirpur, Nahan, Chamba and Rampur covering major portion of the state with the services. The cabinet permitted issuance of letter of intent in favour to set up Eternal University at Baru Saheb in Sirmour district. The government has decided to open two new toll barriers at Gorkhnath Mandir on Gorkhnath-Shahpur Road and Pul Baddi on the Jharmajri road near Bald Nadi in district Solan district.
The government decided to include an area of 8,6031.99 sq mtrs in the limits of Municipal Council, Parwanoo, with a view to extend all municipal services to the residents of the area and approved development plan for Chamba Planning Area.
The cabinet also approved opening of three new Ayurvedic health centres at village Bathara in district Shimla; Kanerar in Hamirpur and Ghatgalla in Chamba.
Five industrial training institutes in Solan, Mandi, Shahpur, Una and Shamshi would also be upgraded.
The cabinet sanctioned 642 posts of various categories under National Rural Health Mission for effective implementation of the programme, which included 148 posts of medical officers, 169 staff nurses, 4 pharmacists, 6 radiographers, 7 ophthalmic assistants, 29 OTA, 13 laboratory technicians, 26 trained dais, 94 class IV, 36 DEO/clerk, 114 sweepers; 8 Associate Professors and 8 Assistant Professors one each in pathology and physiology to be upgraded to Associate Professor, in Medical Education Department, as per the Medical Council of India norms; 7 posts of various categories to make Civil Dispensary, Rampur functional; 4 supernumerary posts of lecturers in Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Kangra at Tanda to regularize four adhoc lecturers; 609 posts of lecturers and laboratory attendants for the government senior secondary schools; 259 posts of teaching and non-teaching categories for 37 newly upgraded high schools; 114 posts of teaching and non-teaching categories for 19 upgraded middle schools; 20 posts of Excise and Taxation Inspectors in the Excise and Taxation Department; 15 posts of steno typists in rural Development Department; 17 daily wage workers of Panchayat Bhawan and Panchayat Samitis in the Panchayati Raj Department to be appointed against vacant posts of peons in the department; 3 posts of drivers, one each for Shri Rajiv Gandhi Post Graduate Government Ayurvedic College, Paprola, Research Institute, Jogindernagar and district Ayurvedic Officer, Hamirpur;; 35 posts of various categories in HIMUDA to regularize the daily wagers completing 8 years of service; 24 posts of junior scale stenographers in HP Secretariat; 4 posts of Manager District Industries Centre.
