Higher reaches of HP experience snowfall


Shimla: Light to moderate snowfall was reported at many places in the upper reaches of Himachal Pradesh in the last 24 hrs, official report said. Keylong town experienced four cm fresh snowfall, where as 10 to 15 cm snow was reported in the Rohtang Pass (13050 ft), Kokesor and Lady of Kelong.

Mercury plunged and was recorded minus 0.1 degrees in Keylong, 2.6 degrees in Sundernagar, 1.2 degrees in Bhuntar, 2.5 degrees in Dharamshala and 2.1 degrees in Una and 4.3 degrees in Nahan.

Mountain ranges of Kinnour Shri Khand and Kinner Kelash, and Churdhar in Sirmour recorded moderate spell of snow and its head quarter Nahan also recorded 1 mm rain in the state.

The Met office has forecasted dry weather conditons in state during next 24hrs.
