BJYM unity march to Lal Chowk enters Himachal

Shimla: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha’s Rashtriya Ekta Yatra, to end with the hoisting of the Tricolour at Lalchowk in Srinagar on the Republic Day today entered in Una district of Himachal Pradesh. The march commenced from Kolkata on January 12 led by president of BJYM Anurag Thakur. BJYM is a youth wing of the BJP.

BJYM is on Kolkota to Srinagar-march yatra, which reached in this state after traveling distance of about 2400km. Father of Anurag Thakur and incumbent Chief Minister of state Prem Kumar Dhumal arrived at Una to welcome the marchers. He condemned the statement made Omar Abdullah who was not happy with it and trying to stop it at any cost. CM said that it is unfortunate that Omar Abdullah is opposing the move of BJYM. “Every Indian had the right to hoist the national flag on the Republic Day anywhere in the country” he asserted.

Prem Kumar Dhumal observed that the any move to thwart the march would send wrong signals and encourage the activities of separatists element. Himachal Pradesh is last state in this march toward J&K. It would proceed towards Jammu after crossing Chamba-Pathankot highway. About 15000 youths from Himachal Pradesh is being targeted to join the procession.
