Shimla: 61st Republic Day parade would be lead by Additional SP(Prohibition) Puneet Raghu, as a state level function is being organised at historic Ridge ground here, official sources said. According to official spokesman, state police ADP Puneet Raghu would lead the parade and state Governor Urmila Singh would unfurl the National Flag and take salute of an impressive march-past of about 24 contingents comprising of Police, BSF, ITBP, Home- Guards, Armed Regiments, NCC and Ex-servicemen etc.
The latest weaponry and mob combing vehicles ‘Bajar’ along tableaux, exhibiting various development works of different departments of the state government will be the main highlights of the function and cultural programmes will be presented by cultural troupes to entertain the people on this occasion. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and opposition leader Viday Stokes would be present on the occasion.
