Dalhousie: (21 Jan) SDM Dalhousie, Madhu Chaudhary administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly elected President, Vice President and ward members of the Dalhousie Municipal Council, at a function organised at the local Municipal Office.
Mannoj Chadha, President, in his address to a fairly large gathering thanked the people of the town for electing him for a second term in a row. He particularly thanked Asha Kumari, former Minister of Education and Kaul Singh Thakur, state congress chief and Virbhadra Singh, Cabinet Minister for their unrelentless support. He promised an unbiased development of the town and urged the people to support his efforts.
In the recently concluded elections Congress wrested power for the second time winning both President and Vice President posts along with six ward members.
