HRTC employees lodge state-wide protest

    Shimla (Jan 21) In a state wide token strike, employees of Himachal Pradesh Roadways Transport Corporation (HRTC) today, have threatened to intensify their month long agitation if authorities fail to concede their pending demand.

    According to State President of Driver and Conductor Association, Dev Raj, the HRTC authorities have not paid any heed to their long pending demands like payment of DA installment, various dues and overtimes, despite repeated remainders to them.

    He said that state government has disbursed DA installments to its employees, while it is still pending for HRTC, which should be remitted in time.

    Despite their month long agitation in the state their demand have not been accepted  by the authorities, he added.

    The association has threatened to resort to 48 hours complete strike in the state forcing to close the entire conveys of 2000 bus.

    Raj claimed that number of employees from all over state had joined today’s agitation.

    Later employees disbursed after one hour resuming their normal duties affecting services partly.
