Mercury plunges after partially cloudy weather

Shimla (Jan 22): Partly cloudy weather marginally brought down mercury in Himachal Pradesh as it was one to two degree below normal, Met official said here today.

Keylong of Lahaul Spiti was coldest in the state at minus 13.7 degree Celsius and four degree below normal, Kalpa of Kinnaur district was minus five degree, Bhuntar in Kullu 1.5 degrees, Sundernagar in Mandi and Solan two degree each, Shimla and Mandi 3 degrees each, Dharamsala in Kangra 4 degrees, Una 4.6 degrees, Palampur of Kangra 5.5 degrees and Nahan of Sirmaur 7.3 degrees, respectively.

The Met office forecast mainly dry weather condition in next 24 hours in the state.
