Kingfisher cancels its flights to HP

    Shimla (Jan 15) Kingfisher’s flights to Shimla, Kullu and Dharamshala from Dehli have been canceled, following prevailing inclement weather conditions in the state, official said today.

    According to Kingfisher’s Airport Manager at Jubberhatti, among the three scheduled flights today for this state all have been canceled as none of them could operate due to rough weather and current spell of rain and snow in the state.

    Number of roads have also been reported disrupted by snowfall, Hindustan-Tibet National highway (22) got blocked by snowfall at Kufri, Theog, Narkanda, while local roads in Shimla town also affected by snowfall as traffic have been closed on Victory tunnel- Lakkar Bazar road while traffic is moving with snail pace in rest of town as blanket of snow is mounting on the road making it slippery.

    Theog-Jubbal Kotkhai road is blocked at Kharapather, breaking road communication with Chopal and Rohru in this district.

    Report arriving from Dharamshalla said that the road link to Mcleodganj has also closed for traffic, as there are 10 cm snows on the road.
