Trout farm of HP Fishery Dept. damaged after cloud burst

Dhamwadi trout farm of HP Fishery Department has been damaged after flash flood triggered by cloud burst in the Tangupa Janglik area of Rohru subdivision last night.

Director of Department Gurcharan Singh told that a high level team comprising Assistant Director Tapish Chauhan has been rushed to the site to access the exact loss as trout farm has been damaged in the flash flood last night.

He said that initial reports said that entire livestock of the trout has been destroyed by the flash flood causing damage to the farm and some pipe lines have been washed down in the flood after cloud burst and heavy rain in upstream areas.

State is known for clean and cold water trout fish production and this fishery farm where livestock have been prepared and distributed in to farmers and also sawing in the Giri and other reservoirs.
