Snow again greets tourists at Manali

Shimla (Feb 20): Tourist resort Manali had another spell of snowfall as it recorded 5 cm snowfall this morning, while higher reaches like Solang-Nalah, Jalorijot, Rohtang Pass had 15 to 20 cm of snowfall.

High reaches of Kinnaur, Shimla and Chamba also experienced light spell of snowfall while downstream were lashed with rainfall. Minimum temperature in Keylong was minus 8.2 degree Celsius, Kalpa minus 4 degrees while Shimla, Solan and Dharamsala were at 1.7 degrees, 2.2 degrees and 4.7 degrees, respectively. Minimum at Sundernagar and Bhuntar was 4.8 degrees each, Palampur, Mandi and Nahan in Sirmaur was 6.4 degrees, 8.2 degrees and 9.1 degrees, respectively.

The Met office forecast rain or snow at isolated parts in high reaches of Himachal Pradesh in the next 24 hours.
