Lok Sabha Poll : Opposition BJP complaint of violation of election code & misuse of election machinery

In wake of upcoming Lok Sabha poll, opposition BJP in the state lodged another complaint with election commission of India about violation of election code by Virbhadra Singh Congress government in Himachal Pradesh.

Complaint addressed to Chief Election Commissioner of India by the party spokesman Ganesh Dutt alleged that Congress government were defying the election code from very first day till today. Its functionaries were indulged in open violation after misusing government machinery.

He alleged that on very first day of coming of code in force a government chopper carried union minister Oscar Fernandes from Nehar chowk of Mandi to Shimla and from Shimla to Chandigarh.

Mr. Dutta alleged that talk of transport minister G.S. Bali with the employees leader of HRTC at Dharamshala on March 9 and issuing of advertisement about progress or rural development program in Mandi today are some glaring violation of election code.

Seeking action over the state government functionary BJP leader alleged that government senior secondary school Hamirpur, Principal Rajinder Verma was behaving as Congress party agent.

He alleged that ministers, chairman of board and corporations were making announcement which is sheer violation of election code. Hoardings were not removed after week of enforcement of code, depicting progress of government schemes he charged.
