Security agency verifying idle wireless set recovered near Indo-Sino border

Security agencies in Kinnuar district were trying to identify the origin of a wireless set recovered idle hanged to a tree at Akpa about three kilometers from Indo-Sino border under Pooh police station on Thursday.

An unclaimed wireless set was found by forest official along with its adapter in running conditions. A police source said that origin of wireless set was yet to confirm as its adapter was china made.

In preliminary investigation police was considering this device might be for spying, as it was found near border. And no report was registered with the local police about loss of such set earlier. However police was also investigating that it could belong to some hydro project firms engaged in the area, as in construction of project, firm often uses such devices for local communication. More details are yet awaited.
