BJP wins State but loses captain. Opposition BJP got to compete for the majority by winning 44 seats pushing Congress to the second positions as it could win 21 seats as all 68 result was made out by the Election Commission of India till 2320 hours. Election commission declared BJP wins as BJP candidates elected on 44 seats short by one seat from the two-thirds majority as 67 results were declared meanwhile Congress could Congress declared elected on 21 seats and, Independent declared the winner at two seats and CPI M on one.
BJP wins and secured about 48.7 percent votes in the State and Congress 41.8 percent, Ind 6.3 p c and CPI (M) 1.5 PC AND BSP 0.5 PC and NOTA 0.9 PC Party wise percentage over the chart or legend to view more details. Union Minister’s Sukh Ram son Anil Sharma, Jairam Thakur, Ramesh Dhawala and Kishan Kapoor, Ram Lal Markenday Suresh Bhardwaj, Narendra Bragta, Mahinder Singh Thakur and Rajiv Bindal are the prominent winner of BJP. CPI(M) open its account in the hill state after 25 yrs as Rakesh Singh won election from Theog Assembly seat.
Prem Kumar Dhumal, Satpal Singh Sati, Gulab Sigh Thakur, Ravinder Singh Ravi, Randhir Sharma, Meshwar Singh and Indu Goswami of BJP are the prominent loser. Congress Minister Kaul Singh Thakur, G.S Bali, Pravesh Chaudhary, Sudhir Sharma, Thakur Singh Bharmouri, Ms Champa Thakur (daughter of Kaul Singh Thakur), Rohit Thakur, Solan Lal, Harbhajan Singh Bhaji, Rakesh Kalia and Kuldeep Singh are the prominent loser.
