Light snowfall in higher reaches of Himachal

Light snowfall experienced at isolated parts of high reaches in the State, however, it was mainly dry, misty and hazy in rest of the State. A local Met officer told that high reaches of Lahaul Spiti and Kinnaur got mild to light snowfall in last 24 hrs. The Met office also forecasts rain or snowfall at next 24 hours in the high reaches and mainly dry weather in the rest of the State.

The snowfall did not disrupt the poll-bound Himachal Pradesh however the Mercury come down as Keylong was 0.9 degree Celsius, Kalpa 2.8 degrees, Manali 4.4 degrees, Solan 7.5 degrees, Bhuntar in Kulu 7.6 degrees, Sundernagar 7.7 degrees, Mandi and Chamba eight degrees, Shimla 9.5 degrees, Palampur 10 degrees, Dalhousie 10.5 degrees, Una 10.7 degrees, Hamirpur 11.8 degrees, Bilaspur 12.5 degrees and Nahan 12.7 degrees.

The Met office forecast arrival of another western disturbance from Nov 14 to 15 onwards in the State, however, it would be mainly dry in the next four days.
