Heatwaves continue in HP, Cold drinks served on Ekadashi

The heatwaves continue in Himachal Pradesh, however, the maximum temperature was one degree low from yesterday. One the occasion of Ekadashi local and tourists were served cold drinks and sweet waters in different stalls set up on the Mall road and many other places in the State.

 

Una continued to be the warmest in the State with maximum temperature at 42.2 degrees today that of 44.,8 degrees of yesterday. Kangra was high at 40.2 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu, Nahan in Sirmaur and Sundernagar in Mandi was recorded near 37.2 degrees each. Shimla town crossed 30 degrees yesterday was high at 29.6 degrees today, Dharamshala in Kangra district was 34.8 degrees, Kalpa 25.8 degrees and Solan 35 degrees respectively.

 

The Met Office forecast rain or thundershower at few parts of mid hills and isolated parts of high and foothills in the next 24 hours. The warning of thunderstorm and hailstorm was also issued at few parts of high areas.
