Sweltering heat waves hit many parts of the State today as Una sizzled at 42.6 degree Celsius rose by few niches. The capital town Shimla was crowded with tourists as they were arriving there to avoid scorching heatwaves.
Shimla recorded high at 28 degrees today, Kangda was high at 38.8 degrees, Sundernagar 38 degrees, Nahan 36 degrees, Bhuntar 35.6 degrees, Dharamshala 33.4 degrees, Solan 33.2 degrees, Manali 26 degrees and Kalpa 24.4 degrees respectively. Kalpa reocrded 1.4 mm rainfall however rest of state was dry, partly cloudy and sunny today.
Una was low at 22 degrees, Nahan in Sirmaur 24 degrees, Kangra 20.4 degrees, Shimla 18.4 degrees, Mandi 19.5 degrees, Shimla 18.4 degrees, Sundernagar 17.4 degrees, Dharamshala 14.8 degrees and Solan 17.5 degrees respectively. The Met office forecast rain or thundershower in mid and high reaches in the next 24 hours and mainly dry weather in the foot hills.
