Chain-hunger strike of HP computer instructors enters into 114th day

Chain hunger strike of Himachal Pradesh Computer instructors today entered into 114th day as they were on protest pressing to regularize and making policy decisions about their services who are forced to render services under private firms for last 15 years on minimal wages. The President of Himachal Pradesh Computer Teacher Association Mr. Jagdish Sharma said that private firms being enrolled by the State Government are exploiting them as they are being handed over very low wages compared to the similar technical services in the department.

 

He said that they completed more than 16 to 17 yrs of regular services in the department however they are not being inducted in the department. Teachers said that they have sufficient teaching experiences and they should be inducted regular after making policy for them. He said that cabinet meeting to be held before Diwali soon likely to be give some respite as government assure them to take decision to induct them in the school on the regular basis.

 

He said that they should given appointed on the government payrolls on the analogy of Contractual and outsources employees  who are being given regular services by state on completion of six years contractual and seven years daily ways period. Instructors are holding 48 yrs chain hunger strike from July 4 this years to press their demand however it was not being consider.They are being hired by the private company who are being outsourced to train students for computer and information technology in the 15000 schools of state.
