Rainfall lashes in many parts of Himachal Pradesh

Moderate to heavy rainfall lashed in many parts of Himachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, however it was mainly cloudy and more rainfall likely to be occur in the state next 24 hours. Power and water supply remained disrupted in many parts of the State due to rainfall, thunder storms and lightening.

 

In Sirmaur district Pachhad recorded 66 mm fall, Nadaun in Hamirpur 34 mm, Paonta in Sirmouar 31 mm, Jubbarhatti in Shimla & Naina Devi in Bilaspur 30 mm each, Dalhousie in Chamba & Renuka in Sirmaur 24 mm each, Shimla 22 mm, Nahan 20 mm, Sarkaghat in Mandi 18 mm, Kangra 16 mm, Amb in Una 15 mm, Nagrota Suriyan in Kangra 14 mm, Dehra Gopipur 12 mm, Hamirpur 11 mm, Sundernagar 10 mm and Mandi 9 mm respectively.

 

The minimum temperature plunged by couple of degrees in the State as Kalpa was coldest at 8 degrees, Keylong 11.9 degrees, Manali 12.6 degrees, Shimla 14.3 degrees, Dharamshala 15.6 degrees, Nahan 16.9 degrees, Palampur in Kullu and Solan 17 each degrees, Sundernagar 18.7 degrees, Mandi and Kangra 19 degrees each, Bilaspur 20.4 degrees,  Hamirpur 21.4 degrees and Una 23.2 degrees respectively.

 

The Met office forecast rain and thunder showers at few places in mid and foothills and isolated places in the State in the next 24 hours.
