Rainfall brings pleasant weather in Himachal

Summer showers in many parts of Himachal Pradesh gives respite from the sweltering and parching heat waves turning the weather pleasant and forcing the tourists to make bee lines towards the hill stations.

Ghumarwin in Bilaspur recorded 110 mm rainfall, Sarkaghat in Mandi 72 mm, Bangana in Una 50 mm, Jubbar Hatti in Shimla 25 mm, Sujanpur Tira, Nadaun in Hamirpur 23 mm each, Karsog in Mandi 22 mm, Agahr 20 mm, Ghamroor in Bilaspur, Nagrota Saurian in Kangra 16 mm each, Jubbal in Shimla, Bharmaur in Chamba 15 mm each, Guler in Kangra 14 mm, Jogindernagar in Mandi, Baijnath in Kangra 13 mm each, Bhoranj in Hamirpur 12 mm, Gohar in Mandi 10 mm and Arki in Solan 9 mm respectively.

The maximum temperature of Shimla fell down to 19.6 degrees today as compared to yesterday’s 23 degrees, Sundernagar 30.9 degrees, Bhuntar 29 degrees, Kalpa 20.2 degrees, Dharamshala 28.4 degrees, Una 36 degrees, Nahan 31.3 degrees and Solan 26.4 degrees respectively.

With the decline in the mercury and ending the drought like condition people felt glad. Occupancy shows increase in most of the hotel units as tourists were making bee lines towards the hill State.

Met office forecast rain and thunder showers at few parts in the State during the next 24 hours.
