No Match with Modi, Mahatma incomparable says Chief Minister

Following CBI raids on his premises recently Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Virbhadra Singh today came down heavily on Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Kumar Modi stating on 146th birth anniversary of father of the nation Mr. Mahatma Gandhi that no one should dare to compare him with Gandhi as he is incomparable.

Soon-after paying floral tributes to Mahatma on his statute at the historic Ridge Maidan here this morning six time chief minister told media persons that Gandhi was only one and to be one as he was incomparable.

Mr. Singh said that on the birth anniversary of Mahatma people also remember him for Swachata Abhiyan and they should not be misled by the false attributes that are now being snatched by Prime Minister Narendra Kumar Modi for the same.

” Since this state was formed in 2nd October1948 so it is also being celebrated as Swachhata Abiyan Day however it did not begin with coming of Modi in the power ” Mr. Singh commented.

It is the good efforts of Municipal Corporation, Shimla that keeps the public premises clean and organised. Mahatma Gandhi had come down on the street with a broom to clean public places to gave a symbolic message to public at large so that they coukd keep their surrounding clean not only externally but one should be pure from ones heart ” the Chief Minister remarked.

Later Mr. Singh also paid tribute to theformer Prime minister Mr. Lal Bhadur Shastri near Deputy Commissioner’s office after offering floral garlands before the bust of second Prime Minister of union of India.

Mr. Singh who was addressing a public gathering in his assembly segment in this district alleged that BJP leaders of this hill state had always indulged in playing divisive politics. Charging saffron party for tactic he said that its leaders were trying to implicate him in false cases. Expressing confidence that recent CBI probe would not damage him at all stating that rather than harming his reputation these cases made me stronger, octogenarian leader asserted. ”I am sure that propaganda and cheap tactics would not last longer as truth prevails in the end” he said adding that citizens of this nation are well educated and would not become an easy prey of such tactics. Advising BJP leaders to shun mean character assassination Mr. Singh said they should accept the truth that incumbent congress rule is committed for all-round and speedy development of the entire state. Chief minister charged that his government had lodged cases against State Cricket Association led by BJP member of Lok Sabha from Hamirpur Mr. Anurag Thakur as during last BJP rule valuable land worth crores of rupees was handed over to the cricket body to raise five star hotels and cricket stadium at Dharamsala. Mr. Singh said that this land was shown barren after axing hundreds of trees standing on it. Overnight HPCA was converted to a company comprising of 25 members most of them are kith and kin of the former Chief Minsiter Prem Kumar Dhumal. He has demanded that HPCA should be registered under the co-operative act.
