Himachal Pradesh to connect major shrines with National Capital Region

Himachal Pradesh Transport Minister Gurumukha Singh Bali said on Friday that the government is mooting out a proposal to connect all shrines in the state with National Capital Region after introducing high-end Volvos buses services in coming time.

Responding to a query of Chintpurni legislator Mr. Kuldeep Kumar and Dalhousie legislator Ms. Asha Kumari in the state assembly today Mr Bali said that the state is plying 31 Volvo buses on different interstate routes and has earned Rupees 29.35 crore in 2014-15 while in 2015-16 it generated Rupees 11.47 crores.

Former transporter turned minister assured the house that five new Volvo services are to be introduced with in 100 days to Delhi from tourists resorts like Dalhousie, Chamunda, Joginderngar, Pathankot and Chintpurni. He also assured that the historic shrine of Jwalamukhi is to be linked with Volvo bus service in 150 days as earlier it was being delayed due to completing the modalities with interstate as its routes run across number of states.

Mr. Bali also confirmed that soon a Volvo bus would be plied on Dharamsala-Srinagar route and other shrines within state would also be connected.
