Six dies and eighteen injured in a private bus that plunged in a rivulet

    About six persons including one woman was killed and eighteen others were injured when a Shimla bound private bus plunged down in a rivulet at Badrawas in Rampur subdivision today.

    Mr. Mukesh Sharma, Tehsildar Rampur who was on the spot said that a private bus that was en route to Shimla from Jeori plunged into a rivulet when the driver who was crossing a narrow bridge lost control over it at 0800 hrs this morning.

    ITBP jawans were pressed into the rescue operation that evacuated six bodies and found eighteen injured from the spot including one woman who were rushed to the nearby Zonal Khenri hospital at Rampur.

    Wreckage of the bus fell down into rivulet and there are a number of victims including a kid that are still to be traced as the rescue operation was hampered at Badrawash Khud due to heavy rain last night.

    More details of the accident are still awaited.
