CM unveils first ATM of India post in Shimla

Now you do not need to wait in long queues to withdraw money from India Post account( the oldest state public sector) as it has today decided to open 18 ATM’s in the hill state.

Mr. Virbhadra Singh, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister today dedicated that the first ATM will be put up at General Post Office near scandal point.

Greeting staff of India post and General Post Office here the Postmaster General of Himachal Pradesh Cricle Mr. A.K. Shori who was present on this occasion said that India Post, which is entering into banking services, has now decided to set up 18 ATM’s across Himachal Pradesh.

He also said that it would provide services of withdrawal of funds from deposits therefore ending the days of long queues outside.

Addressing media persons Mr. A.K. Shori also said that similar ATM is to be opened at Bilaspur in coming months and rest of the ATM’s will be installed by this year in phased manure.

The consumers of State Electricity Board would now be able to deposit their power bill in the nearest post office anywhere in the state as at present this facility is already made available in few post offices.
