Heavy rainfall lashed in several parts of Himachal Pradesh

Pre monsoon and heavy rain-showers lashed in several parts of Himachal Pradesh therefore disrupting normal life.

Reporting arriving here have said that in Soha and Palura gram panchayat of Chamba district heavy down pour like cloud burst hit several villages killing one person who was later identified as Raju.

Mr. Tilak Raj, SHO Chamba confirmed that body of the man who was an employee of home gourd department was recovered from 300 feet down the stream from the spot from where he got drowned.

One floor spinning meal was also washed away in the flash flood and rainwater entered in many houses. Reports of washing down of fertile agriculture land and standing crop are also coming in from two-gram panchayats.

Gohar in Mandi district recoreded highest rainfall of 110 mm, Kangra and Gaggal airport recoreded 76 mm, Sangrah in Sirmaur and Mehre in Kangra recorded 71 mm each, Solan 63 mm, Dharampur in Mandi 61 mm while Kumarsen in Shimla district recoreded 60 mm rain.

Mashobra in Shimla got 57 mm rainfall, Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur 50 mm, Aghar in Mandi 47 mm, Nahan in Siramur 43 mm,  Hamirpur and Mandi-40 mm each, Arki in Solan 37 mm, Shimla while Bangana and Una recorded 36 mm each.

Maximum temperature came down drastically after rain showers at many places. Una was high at 35.2degrees , Bhuner in Kullu recorded 33.8 degrees, Kangra 31.9 degrees, Sundernagar in Mandi 30.8 degrees, Dharmshala and Solan 29.5 degrees each, Nahan 28 degrees, Shimla and Manali 25 degrees each and Kalpa in Kinnaur recorded 21.2 degrees respectively.

The metrological office has forecast rain and thunder showers in many places in the state during next 24 hrs.
