Higher reaches of Himachal experience fresh spell of snowfall

Higher reaches of the state experienced fresh spell of snowfall and unseasonal rain disrupting normal life.

Keylong in Lahaul Spiti district had 15 mm snow and also reports of snowfall are coming from other high places in Kullu, Kinnaur and Chamba district.

Tourist resort Manali got highest rainfall of 34mm in the state followed by Saloni in Chamba district that recorded 25.5 mm rain whereas Bhunter Airport in Kullu got 24.9 mm rain and Seobagh recorded 23 mm. Other places like Sundernagar and Shimla recorded rainfall of 8.9 mm and 7 mm respectively.

Minimum Temperature of Shimla was 7.2 degree celsius, Sundernagar remained at 12.5 degrees, Bhuntar  at 9.5. degrees, Manali 2.6 degrees, Solan 11.5 degrees, Una 11.8 degrees, Keylong  0.8 degrees, Kangra 13.9 degrees, Saloni recorded 4 degrees whereas Seobagh remained at 7 degrees respectively.

The metrological office has forecast rain or snow in many parts of the state in next 24 hrs.
