Chief Minister announces Valmiki Kalyan Board

Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh announced the constitution of Valmiki Kalyan Board in public meeting at Maniara in Palampur today on the event of fifth day of second phase of Kangra winter sojourn.

The Chief Minister while addressing a massive gathering said “our government cares for all the sections of the society and we were having welfare boards for various communities be it Brahmin, Rajput, Gaddi or Gujjar. He said that constitution of such welfare boards helps these communities to represent themselves and table their grievances before the government in an effective manner. He said it is a matter of great pleasure today that our state has emerged as one of the best models of development amongst other states”.

He said that our government is committed to provide basic education to each and every child in all the schools and even in those ones that have a strength of less than twenty children. Our government is still very committed to go ahead as we do not want to deprive any child of basic education. He also said that the primary level education needs to be strengthened more and if results of the primary schools are not up to the mark then strict administrative action will be taken against the teachers. He ensured that the government wishes to start a written exam at primary level in order to keep a close check on the performance of teachers and students.

He said that the people are free to report to the Chief Ministers office any laxity on part of teachers apart from the feedback from our own sources as we need their support and participation for strengthening the basic education set up. The Chief Minister has also announced up gradation of Middle School at Langha and Tanda, high schools at Rajpur and middle schools in Bharmat and Bohal.

Apart from this the Chief Minister also paid obeisance at the Brijeshwari temple in Kangra and directed to widen the road leading to the Mata Brijeswari temple from Maple hospital and also ensured proper provision for drainage of water in the area.
