A local court today asked Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister’s son Vikramaditya Singh, who has been accused by BJYM of rioting and trespassing, to join the police investigation.

At least twelve activists of both Youth Congress and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) were injured in a clash here on January 29 during a demonstration against the central government’s land acquisition ordinance. Additional District and Sessions Judge Padam Singh, heard the confirmation of bail which has now been extended till February 9,2015.

Official sources said Vikramaditya Singh has recorded his statement before Additional District Magistrate (law and order) D.K Rattan, who is conducting magisterial inquiry into the incident. The opposition BJP had met Kalyan Singh and submitted a memorandum, demanding dismissal of the government. After the clash, Superintendent of Police D.W Negi said both BJYM and the Youth Congress have lodged first information reports, accusing each other of indulging in violence.
