Jaundice outbreak mount to 126 in Kangra District

    Number of Jaundice patients mounted to 126 in Kangra town and its suburbs during the on going outbreak of the jaundice epidemic.

    “Sixteen new cases of jaundice patients were reported in the civil hospital, Kangra yesterday. Out of these sixteen patients twelve were children below the age of fifteen years”as told by Dr. B.M Gupta, Chief Medical Officer. He also said that the medical investigations have indicated that the current out break was of ‘Hepatitis A’ and jaundice was its symptom but there is nothing to panic if chlorine tablets and boiled water are used in every household as a precautionary measure.
