Trio nabbed after firing incident in parking : Shimla

Three persons belonging to different parts of Punjab and Chandigarh were nabbed by the state police as they resort firing on the local people in a parking at Jodha Niwas, Shimla.

Police sources said that mishap of firing occurred Wednesday night at 1100 hours when three persons namely Mr. Gajan Singh (24) of village Dhanash of Chandigarh, Mr. Guru Kirek Singh resident of Patni Ala of Phajilka district of Punjab and Amarvir Singh of Mohali, Punjab.

The case was registered on the complaint of Mr. Pawan Kumar of Bilaspur district under Section 307, 323 and 34 of Indian Penal Code and Section 25, 54 and 59 of Arms Act.

The altercation occurred when trio in intoxicated mood resorted firing on the parking staff who were latter thrashed by local people handing over them to police were kept in police custody in Shimla, who were to be produced in the court to seek remand.

A country made pistol and its bullets have been seized by the police after the crime occurred. No persons were injured in the mishap.
