Few parts of Himachal lashed with rainfall

Giving relief from the prevailing heatwave, few parts of this hill state experienced rain shower last night and it was also partly cloudy today.

Dharampur in Mandi district had 31mm rain Kasauli in Solan district 25 mm, Baldwara in Mandi district 18mm, Bilaspur 11 mm, Ghumarwain 7 mm Nauni and Solan 6 mm each, Kahu in Bilaspur district 5 mm and Kandaghat in Solan district 4 mm.

Maximum temperature declined by two to three degrees with fresh showers, moreover, it was pleasant weather in Shimla, Manali and Dalhousie where hospitality industry were filled to its capacity.

Owing to prevailing North-Westerly winds over the state, rain shower could occur in mid hills.

The Met Office predicts mainly dry weather in next 24 hours.

The people may get further respite from heatwave as it forecast rain or thunder shower from Monday onwards in the state.
